EcoVadis Gold certification for Sii Group — Sii Poland among the 5% most sustainable IT companies

For the third consecutive year, the Sii Group, together with Sii Poland, has recorded impressive results in an assessment by EcoVadis, an international rating agency that examines the activities of companies for their commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. In the latest EcoVadis assessment, the Group was awarded a gold certificate, meaning that it is among the 5% most sustainable IT companies audited by EcoVadis. The high rating attests to the advanced level of social responsibility procedures and processes. The company focuses not only on generating profits but also on respecting its stakeholders, including mainly employees and customers, as well as candidates, potential customers, competitors, local communities, and environmental protection.

Every year, Sii Poland participates in a detailed social responsibility survey, where business processes, policies, procedures, and the company’s long-standing traditions and habits, are assessed along with their documentation. The company’s results are included in the list of the entire Sii Group. They are then verified and rated by EcoVadis – the world’s most trusted rating agency for corporate sustainability.

In 2024, Sii Group, including Sii Poland, obtained a high-level rating.

— We have once again received a very high rating. In 2024, the actions of the Sii Group were evaluated at 74 out of 100 possible points, significantly above the average score for companies in our sector — explains Aleksandra Kuna, CSR/ESG Manager at Sii Poland. — In the EcoVadis assessment, we maintain advanced-level projects in sustainable development, for which we have been awarded the gold medal. We continuously adapt the company’s activities to new regulations and requirements related to sustainable development. But a good audit rating and awarded certificate are not everything. Daily, we implement many additional actions to improve our CSR efforts. This includes, for example, a growing concern for the environment and a comprehensive approach to it, which resulted in the implementation of ISO 14001 in 2022. Last year, we also joined the signatories of the Diversity Charter coordinated by the Responsible Business Forum and received an award in the CSR Poland competition in the Employee Wellbeing category for the Passion Sponsorship Program. Every year, we increase the scale of our assistance to society by undertaking numerous initiatives as part of the Sii Power Volunteers volunteering program — she adds.

Sii Poland’s sustainable development areas studied by EcoVadis include:

  • Labor & Human Rights Practices: policies and practices for both employees and candidates in terms of friendly recruitment, onboarding, health and safety, employee rights, hiring rules, training, and development, as well as communication
  •  Environment: policies and procedures in the field of ecology, including building environmental awareness of employees, maintaining CO2 emissions calculations
  •  Ethics: policies and procedures for counteracting corruption, whistleblower protection, as well as ensuring rights and good treatment of employees
  •  Responsible Procurement: responsibility for suppliers

The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards (Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000) and is supervised by a scientific committee of sustainability and supply chain experts to ensure reliable third-party sustainability assessments.
