We are looking for a Senior Python Automation Tester to join a strategic data transformation initiative focused on validating complex financial and reference data systems. The role combines automation and manual testing activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across legacy and target platforms. You will work closely with distributed Agile teams, leveraging Python, SQL, and modern testing practices to validate large datasets, investigate defects, and support high-quality software delivery.

Candidates from Chennai are preferred, but we are open to other locations as well.

Your tasks

Designing and maintaining automated test solutions using Python for data validation and regression testing
Validating complex datasets and ensuring consistency across databases, applications, and environments
Analyzing business requirements, legacy systems, and technical documentation to derive effective test scenarios
Executing functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across data pipelines and system interfaces
Investigating defects, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with development teams on resolutions
Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous quality assurance processes

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in test automation with strong Python programming skills
Advanced SQL and database testing experience, including validation of large datasets and data reconciliation
Experience with data validation, comparison testing, and ensuring end-to-end data accuracy
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methodologies
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and ability to analyze application code
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills with fluent
Fluent English (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have

Knowledge of financial data standards such as EDIFACT, EDI, or structured data feeds
Exposure to big data testing, high-volume data validation, or performance testing activities
Familiarity with financial identifiers such as ISIN, CFI, and FISN
Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes

Завдання

Проєктування та підтримка автоматизованих тестових рішень на Python для валідації даних та регресійного тестування
Валідація складних наборів даних та забезпечення узгодженості між базами даних, застосунками та середовищами
Аналіз бізнес-вимог, спадкових систем та технічної документації для розробки ефективних тестових сценаріїв
Виконання функціонального, інтеграційного та наскрізного тестування в каналах передачі даних та системних інтерфейсах
Дослідження дефектів, проведення аналізу кореневих причин та співпраця з командами розробки для їх усунення
Інтеграція автоматизованих тестів у CI/CD пайплайни та підтримка процесів безперервного забезпечення якості

Наші очікування

Щонайменше 5 років професійного досвіду в автоматизації тестування з міцними навичками програмування на Python
Досвід роботи з розширеним SQL та тестуванням баз даних, включно з перевіркою великих наборів даних та узгодженням даних
Досвід у валідації даних, порівняльному тестуванні та забезпеченні точності даних від початку до кінця
Глибоке розуміння фреймворків автоматизації тестування, практик CI/CD та методологій Agile
Знання концепцій об’єктно-орієнтованого програмування та здатність аналізувати код застосунків
Відмінні аналітичні навички, вміння розв’язувати проблеми та комунікувати зі стейкхолдерами
Вільне володіння англійською мовою (рівень не нижче B2)

Знання стандартів фінансових даних, таких як EDIFACT, EDI або структуровані потоки даних
Досвід тестування великих даних, валідації великих обсягів даних або тестування продуктивності
