The challenge
The very dynamic growth of the mobile telecommunications market in the emerging regions of Africa, Asia and the Near East has multiplied the demand for IOD and Mobile Banking services from mobile network operators. Because of the lack of specialized personnel, dedicated tools, solutions and processes, the implementation of IOD and MB projects by our Client was ineffective and expensive. The Client’s knowledge of this subject was incomplete and fragmented.
What we did
Sii has established and trained a project team (DSTK Team) which worked at Sii’s office on the implementation of embedded projects focused on providing IOD and Mobile Banking services to the subscribers of mobile telecommunications services.
One year after the establishment of the team the efficiency of project implementation by Sii’s team was several times higher than the level expected by the client. As a result the DSTK Team has gained equal rights to those held by the Client’s centres in Dubai, Johannesburg and Prague, and has become a project centre operating within the Client’s structure. So far Sii’s team has successfully implemented several dozen projects, gaining the status of a competence centre and a team of experts in embedded IOD and Mobile Banking applications for the Client’s entire organization.
Effects
The Client was no longer burdened with the implementation of the growing number of IOD and MB projects. A new highly specialized project centre was established. We accelerated the implementation of projects related to IOD and MB by 4 times.
