In this role, you will design and develop backend and data engineering solutions within a cloud-native, serverless environment on AWS. You will work with modern data platforms and automation tools to build scalable, efficient workflows and pipelines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions, leveraging Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Your tasks

Designing and developing backend and data engineering solutions in AWS environment
Building and maintaining serverless workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions
Developing automation scripts using Python and Bash
Writing and optimizing queries using SQL and SPARQL
Managing and integrating data platforms such as Amazon Redshift
Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
Applying Infrastructure as Code practices for scalable deployments
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in backend and data engineering
Hands-on with AWS Lambda and Step Functions for serverless workflows
Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation and data processing
Strong SQL and SPARQL skills for querying relational and graph data
Working knowledge of Amazon Redshift for data warehousing
Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Understanding of cloud-based architectures and scalable solutions
Professional English proficiency for communication with global teams

Nice to have

Familiarity with AWS data services (DynamoDB, S3, Neptune)
Knowledge of AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
Exposure to cloud-native and serverless architectures
