IT Operations is a Competency Center responsible for tasks and projects related to the maintenance of workstations and mobile devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones, printers, servers, operating systems, networks, databases (SQL, Oracle), and applications (SCCM, ServiceNow, Zabbix, O365, D365).

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join the team to support one of our clients in Reykjavik.

• On-site troubleshooting and support
• Configuring IT equipment
• Diagnosing and solving hardware and software issues
• Monitoring the technical condition of devices, planning and performing maintenance and repairs
• Identifying the necessary hardware and software, liaising with suppliers, and placing orders for equipment: laptops, servers, network devices, etc.
• Maintaining up-to-date records of IT equipment, tracking stock levels, and managing the lifecycle of devices from procurement to decommissioning
• Updating technical documentation of equipment, processes, and support incidents

• Experience in IT Support – at least 1 year of hands-on experience in technical support, equipment installation, and management
• Practical knowledge of operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Knowledge of configuring MS Outlook, Teams, and the functions of MS Word and MS Excel
• Basic networking knowledge
• Expertise in selecting, ordering, and configuring IT devices (laptops, printers, servers, network equipment)
• Readiness to troubleshoot technical issues directly at client sites or offices
• Ability to resolve IT incidents using ticketing systems.
• Good communication skills: with users and collaborate with the IT team

Optional:

• Valid driver’s license
• Technical education – preferably in IT, telecommunications, or related fields (nice to have)
