A UNIFIED WORKSPACE FOR GLOBAL DESIGN TEAMS
As PUMA developed complex product collections across multiple countries, the need arose for a centralized, scalable ecosystem that could streamline collaboration between designers, product managers, and sales teams. The company needed a modern PLM system to ensure full data integration, smooth information flow, and faster decision-making during the design process.
To deliver on this ambition, PUMA partnered with Sii Poland. At the peak of the project, 150 Sii experts were involved in the design, development, and maintenance of a PLM platform supporting the entire product lifecycle – from concept to production.
A MODERN ECOSYSTEM FOR COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
Sii Poland was responsible for delivering the system end-to-end – from user research and UX/UI design, through design system creation, to the development of custom modules tailored to the needs of product design teams.
Scope of work included:
- Requirements analysis with key user groups – designers, developers, and product managers – and designing an architecture aligned with organizational processes
- Development and maintenance of the PLM application using Angular, Java, and Vaadin, enabling faster product design and approval
- Creation of a modern, service-based architecture and implementation of cloud solutions to ensure system scalability and flexibility
- Designing an intuitive user interface and a complete Design System – a consistent set of UI components used across the platform
- Manual and automated testing to ensure system stability and performance
- Migration of the PLM system to the cloud, improving availability and development agility
- Integration with existing tools and processes to ensure seamless adoption within the organization

Throughout the project, Sii teams worked closely with PUMA’s internal teams, jointly managing the backlog and prioritizing tasks in upcoming sprints. During development, new ideas were validated and tested before being rolled out to production.
A STABLE PLM PLATFORM AS THE FOUNDATION FOR GLOBAL OPERATIONS
As a result, fragmented legacy tools were replaced with one integrated system that supports and automates the entire product development process – from initial concept to final approval. PUMA now benefits from a modern, scalable PLM platform designed around actual business needs. The new UI significantly streamlined user workflows, reducing complexity and enabling faster execution of daily tasks.
A shared workspace now brings together designers, developers, and product managers into one environment – ensuring faster communication, quicker decisions, and greater visibility across the product lifecycle.
With unified data and intuitive tools, PUMA’s teams are now able to work more efficiently at every stage of product development. This has translated into fewer errors, a shorter time-to-market, and a clear boost in operational performance.
