About the client
A Polish multinational clothing retailer, headquartered in Gdańsk, dealing with the design, production, and distribution of clothes. The company has five brands in its portfolio, with more than 2 000 stores located in 26 countries.
The challenge
- Verify potential bottlenecks in the system
- Prove that new implementation of online shopping queue has much better performance than previous one
What we did
- Used sources of shopping client (desktop application written in java) to create module for jMeter
- Prepared several test cases refelcting typical cashier behaviour
- Simulated load similar and bigger than biggest usage of client’s application
- We conducted a test for 3000 users
- Created report with information about load where application’s server is unstable
Effects
- We verified how many number of Cash register will crash the system
- We verified that the patches have improved system performance four times
