About the client
One of the three largest car insurance brokers in Poland.
The challenge
The client used to have a monolithic system for the support of key business processes. The solution was not standardized, so the applications did not work correctly, connections were lost and there was no control over the system’s performance. The Client had no ownership rights to system codes, and because of that every change made by the previous supplier was costly.
What we did
We conducted an analysis of business processes and delivered a new system, which is based on open-source technologies.
jBPM workflow engine and document repository were integrated with Client’s IT systems with the use of Web Services, and data from current systems were transferred during the migration process.
Effects
Under the project a new system was designed supporting the execution of business processes. The application was embedded in the Client’s infrastructure and integrated with the domain systems. With the new solution the implementation of new processes will be much faster and require fewer resources to be involved.
