Optimized CO₂ emissions and progress toward a more sustainable energy system
Compliance with regulatory requirements via Grid Code and Site Acceptance testing
More projects, limited resources, and tightening regulations
As the number and scale of global projects grew, the client faced mounting time pressure to commission new wind farms. Any delay meant financial losses and the risk of losing grid-operator contracts. At the same time, evolving energy regulations and the complexity of control systems required strict adherence to safety standards and interoperability with multiple communication protocols (IEC 101, IEC 104, Modbus, DNP).
To shorten deployments, reduce commissioning errors, and ensure full compliance with grid requirements, the organization partnered with Sii Poland.
PLC/SCADA configuration, testing, and operational support
To accelerate commissioning and ensure reliability of operating assets, Sii provided specialists in industrial automation, control systems, and grid regulations. The team covered PLC/SCADA environment configuration and testing, operational support for farms, and coordination with stakeholders.
Zakres działań projektu:
- Preparing control and monitoring environments for new farms by configuring and starting up PLC controllers and SCADA servers
- Verifying protocol compliance (IEC 101, IEC 104, Modbus, DNP) through signal- and communication-interface tests
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and rapid issue resolution via troubleshooting and commissioning activities
- Confirming grid connection quality and safety through Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Grid Code testing
- Operational support and technical advisory – ongoing collaboration with grid operators and external suppliers to maintain stable farm operations
Faster deployments, higher reliability, lower emissions
Partnering with Sii enabled the client to significantly shorten the time required to bring new wind farms online – directly accelerating energy delivery to the grid and improving project profitability. Troubleshooting support and regulatory testing minimized outages and connection delays. Increased operational reliability and full compliance with standards enabled stable production of green energy and a measurable reduction of CO₂ emissions – advancing the client’s global goal of building a more sustainable energy system.
