The company develops krill-based ingredients for nutraceutical, aquaculture, and animal feed applications. The company’s fully transparent value chain stretches from sustainable krill harvesting in pristine Antarctic waters through its Montevideo logistics hub, Houston production plant, and all the way to customers around the world.
The challenge
Implementation of Salesforce apps to the sales management. Salespeople forecast potential sales values for each customer (per product and per month) which are then verified with actually invoiced values using integration with the external orders system.
What we did
We created Salesforce apps that replaced MS Excel tools. A number of facilities have been introduced, like mass records creation, necessary validations, and automation of business processes. We used external Salesforce Sites to notify the user about required actions. Users can execute actions in a quick way. We automated matching customers’ orders to proper sales forecasts.
Effects
The sales team is informed about the actual sales results, which allows them to verify the previous forecasts. A large part of the business logic has been automated or significantly simplified. The system is still growing and there are plans to create new functionalities in the form of new Salesforce applications.
