About the client
A British multinational company focused on the production of health, hygiene, and home goods. The history of the company dates back to 1819 and since then it became a global leader in health and hygiene, providing products to over 200 countries.
The challenge
The customer needed a new platform for data storage with the same file and folder structure, and the same permissions levels for particular groups and users.
What we did
We carried out an analysis of the system differences between Box and SharePoint. Automatic scripts were prepared that allowed for the adjustment of file names and file paths, and the migration of the folder structure. The users were assigned to SharePoint groups to recreate the permissions structure.
Effects
A web page with access to several site collections was created – each dedicated for files related to a particular brand. The file names and file paths were adjusted to Windows requirements, and the permissions and folder structure were re-created to reflect the original structure.
