The Maintenance & Diagnostic Centre (MDC) is a hardware and software solution for collecting diagnostic data from any rail control system and store it in local data bases. The data gathered can be replicated to other locations so access to the same diagnostic information is available in local, regional and central maintenance management offices. The functionalities of the system also include reporting to external systems and services, printing, exporting data to external media and providing SMS and e-mail notifications about defined alarms.
\nThe System architecture is based on clusters composed of processes and services working on one or many physical computers. Clusters can be linked to each other in a tree architecture and the data collected can be replicated to upper level clusters (i.e. regional or central level) and accessed via web browser or visual clients for a graphical view.<\/p>\n
